POSITION: Production Floor Supervisor
FLSA: Full Time, Salary

General Summary:
Responsible for leading and directing the production floor in the manufacturing and assembly of conveyors and components under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for leadership, supervision, and performance of the manufacturing floor.
  2. Coordinates the production schedule planning in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  3. Manages manufacturing, assembly, and shipping of all company products.
  4. Oversees training of production floor personnel on production methods and processes.
  5. Works collaboratively with procurement to ensure inventory for production needs.
  6. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  7. Develops and implements appropriate department workflow and processes in coordination
    with other departments and ensures they are documented in Dynamic Way.
  8. Promotes and drives continuous improvements in processes and workflows on the shop
    floor.
  9. Works collaboratively with Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to plan and maintain shipping
    schedules.
  10. Responsible for the professional development and performance management of Production
    floor staff.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and assists other employees
    of the company whenever possible.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Preferred):

  1. Bachelor’s degree in production management or equivalent experience.
  2. Five plus years of experience in a make to order/engineering environment.
  3. Understanding of ERP within a manufacturing environment.
  4. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  5. Ability to proficiently utilize Office 365 programs and Microsoft Teams.
  6. Ability to read 2D and 3D prints.
  7. Mechanical skills and aptitude to set up and operate conventional machining equipment (lathe, milling machines, saws, drill press and CNC saw) desired.
  8. Quality control mindset with the ability to monitor all work for accuracy.
  9. Self-directed with the ability to organize and follow through on work assignments/duties.
  10. Ability to work Saturdays as determined by needs of Production schedule, estimated at 20% of time.
