POSITION: Production Floor Supervisor
FLSA: Full Time, Salary
General Summary:
Responsible for leading and directing the production floor in the manufacturing and assembly of conveyors and components under the direction of the Operations Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leadership, supervision, and performance of the manufacturing floor.
- Coordinates the production schedule planning in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Manages manufacturing, assembly, and shipping of all company products.
- Oversees training of production floor personnel on production methods and processes.
- Works collaboratively with procurement to ensure inventory for production needs.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Develops and implements appropriate department workflow and processes in coordination
with other departments and ensures they are documented in Dynamic Way. - Promotes and drives continuous improvements in processes and workflows on the shop
floor. - Works collaboratively with Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to plan and maintain shipping
schedules. - Responsible for the professional development and performance management of Production
floor staff. - Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and assists other employees
of the company whenever possible.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in production management or equivalent experience.
- Five plus years of experience in a make to order/engineering environment.
- Understanding of ERP within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to proficiently utilize Office 365 programs and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to read 2D and 3D prints.
- Mechanical skills and aptitude to set up and operate conventional machining equipment (lathe, milling machines, saws, drill press and CNC saw) desired.
- Quality control mindset with the ability to monitor all work for accuracy.
- Self-directed with the ability to organize and follow through on work assignments/duties.
- Ability to work Saturdays as determined by needs of Production schedule, estimated at 20% of time.
