September 2015 — A new injection molding business is focused 100% on compostable, plant-based polymers. A molded biopolymer ring and degassing valve, with a filament filter and biopolymer film lidding provide a 97% compostable alternative to standard coffee pods.
UrthPact has six injection presses in Leominster and plans to add two more this year. It has just opened a California plant with one machine and plans to add three more this year. Both plants use modular parts conveyors from Dynamic Conveyor.
