At Dynamic Conveyor, we believe in the power of community engagement and the importance of inspiring the next generation of talent. This week, we had the privilege of hosting a group of students from Muskegon Community Education Center as part of Muskegon Area Discover Manufacturing Week—an initiative designed to introduce young minds to the exciting world of manufacturing.

This marks our second year participating in the program, and once again, it was a resounding success!

A Hands-On Learning Experience

Led by our Administration Manager, Tom Foley, and supported by several dedicated team members, the students were given a firsthand look at what it’s like to work in a modern manufacturing environment. Our team shared insights into the skills, attributes, and career paths available in the industry, helping students connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

One of the highlights of the visit was a session with one of our design engineers, Matt Cuti, who introduced the students to engineering CAD software. Those interested had the chance to get hands-on with the technology, exploring how digital design plays a critical role in product development.

Touring the Heart of Our Operations

The students also enjoyed a guided tour of our production floor, where they observed the manufacturing process in action. From raw materials to finished products, they saw how innovation, precision, and teamwork come together to create high-quality outcomes – in the conveyors we manufacture. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were evident as they asked questions and engaged with our team throughout the tour. The students also had the opportunity to be interactive with the production process by assembling sections of our popular DynaCon modular conveyors.

Building Bridges Between Education and Industry

Programs like Discover Manufacturing Week are vital for building bridges between education and industry. They help students envision their future, explore career possibilities, and understand the value of technical skills and innovation.

We’re proud to support this initiative and grateful to West Michigan Works and Muskegon Community Education Center for partnering with us. A big thank you to our team members who helped make this event memorable and impactful!

“I just wanted to send a thank you for allowing the Muskegon students to visit Dynamic Conveyor and for providing such a personalized, caring tour for them. Your staff went out of the way to prepare for their visit, they were kind, welcoming, and positive! I especially liked the opportunity to see the hands-on aspect of the tour where students got to use a drill and put together conveyors!”
