POSITION:  Shipping and Receiving Clerk
FLSA:  Full Time; Hourly; Monday – Friday; 1st Shift

We are a small and growing company in search of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced, versatile production team.  Are you detail oriented and organized? General Summary:

Prepares and maintains documents of materials and products for incoming products and outgoing Shipments while addressing the quality of those materials and products under the supervision of the Production Manager. Works in Production/Assembly all other available hours.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspects incoming materials and distribute them to proper locations.
  2. Maintains receiving records and documents.
  3. Operates forklift to unload trucks and move products as needed.
  4. Operates hand tools to assemble conveyor components.
  5. Coordinates with Purchasing regarding damaged goods and discrepancies.
  6. Maintains clean and safe working environment according to company policy.
  7. Pack orders for shipping.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager and assists other employees in the company whenever possible.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Two or more years of domestic and international shipping and receiving experience preferred. Proficiency in FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and DHL software required.
  3. Physical ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs. is required.
  4. Ability to utilize spreadsheet, database email programs and ERP software within a Windows environment required.
  5. Mechanical skills and aptitude with the ability to operate hand tools required.
  6. Ability to read basic blueprints and use 3D viewer software desired.
  7. Quality control mindset with the ability to monitor all work for accuracy.
  8. Ability to inspect and recognize quality problems.
  9. Skills and ability to operate a forklift.
  10. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
  11. Ability to communicate effectively and provide assistance to internal and external customers – via phone, email and fax.
  12. Self-directed with the ability to organize and follow through on work assignments/duties.
