POSITION:  Drive Module/Controls (Electrical) Assembler

FLSA:  Full Time, Hourly; 1st Shift, 90/80 Compresses Schedule

We are in search of a Drive Module/Controls (Electrical) Assembler to join our fast-paced, versatile Production Team. Are you mechanically inclined? General Summary:

Assembles drive modules, control panels, field wire, and other modules under the supervision of the Production Floor Supervisor.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operates electrical and pneumatic hand tools, sets-up and runs necessary to assemble specialty drive modules for conveyance solutions using electrical components, subassemblies, parts, and fasteners according to customer specifications and industry standards.
  2. Tests conveyor and separator drive units.
  3. Assists Engineering Department on product development of electrical components.
  4. Review bills of material, routings, and drawings to ensure accuracy.
  5. Follows established company standards, procedures, and processes.
  6. Uses ERP system, Vault, and other databases to obtain documentation, 2D and 3D prints, and engineering specifications.
  7. Operates forklift to move product as needed.
  8. Maintains a clean and safe working environment according to company policy.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager and assist other employees of the company when possible/needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Basic electrical wiring training or experience required.
  3. Basic knowledge of electrical instruments, control components, and wiring required.
  4. Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and electrical wiring schematics.
  5. Knowledge of parameter configuration and program loading a plus.
  6. Mechanical skills and aptitude with the ability to operate machinery (mill, lathe, drill press, saw) is beneficial.
  7. Quality control mindset with the ability to monitor work for accuracy and recognize quality problems.
  8. Physical ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs. is required.
  9. Ability to inspect and recognize quality problems.
  10. Excellent verbal, written and computer skills.
  11. Ability to proficiently utilize Office 365 programs and Microsoft Teams.
  12. Self-directed with the ability to organize and follow through on work assignments.
  13. Ability to communicate with all levels of staff members, as well as customers.
